easy banana turon recipe (air fryer)

Banana Turon Air Fryer

ingredients


For 6-12 turons, you will need:

⊹ 2 ripe medium bananas

If you have plantain bananas and fresh jackfruit stripes, that's even more authentic!

⊹ 4 tablespoons brown sugar

⊹ 6 rice wrappers

⊹ 1 tbsp oil for coating

⊹ 1 bowl of water to soften and seal the wrapper


instructions

1. Cut the bananas into three by the length and then cut each part in half by width. You should have 12 halved banana chunks.

2. Wet the rice paper and put it on a plat.

3. Coat the banana halves with sugar.

4. Depends on how thick you want your turon to be, you can wrap one half or two halves on top of each other and then wrap up with the rice paper.

5. Coat the whole wrap with sugar if you want extra sweetness or skip the next step.

6. Lightly coat it with oil or you can skip this to make this recipe extra lean.

7. You can preheat your air fryer to 400F while wrapping all the turons

8. Put them in the air fryer for 5 minutes.

9. Flip and put them for another 5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
